Our own farm (SAF) supports a number of families by providing them jobs at our farm. |

Our services helped many farmers to start Emu Farms and have self-employment. |

We are shortly going to work with Rural Development organizations, Andhra Pradesh to create awareness in the village women and unemployed youth who are interested in livestock business about Emu farms and help them grow their own business. As a part of this, SAF plans to provide the rural areas’ framers with free consultancy to start and grow their own farms. |

By nature Emu birds require rural areas for better mating percentages. Hence we are encouraging the village farmers to setup these farms. |

Challenges for all Emu farmers :

Loans : Currently, many Banks are providing loans for emu farms where the farmer can avail a subsidy of 25% on the sanctioned amount provided by NABARD through the banks once the loan is availed. |

Electricity and Subsidies : Presently, The state and national governments are providing subsidised electricity and other subsidies only for agro farms which are also needed to be supplied to Emu farms for the encouragement to the Emu farmers. |
