SAF EMU – THE NATURAL ALTERNATIVE LIVESTOCK BUSINESS that has grown with the idea of doing the Business Naturally was started in the year 2001 in Yellasiri Village, Chittamur Mandal, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India with 30 pairs of EMU birds and increased to more than 380 pairs over a period of 10 years by establishing SAFGroup of EMU Farms in 7 different states.
A keygrowth being its Services offered to the customers round the clock and being a significant player in the emerging EMU Industry has provided more than 10000 Emu birds and became a leader to set up more than 500 farms in 7 different states.

Dr. Sateesh Tammera, the Founder of Sree Agro Farms, founded the company in the year 2001. Under his dynamic leadership, SAF has emerged as a leading Emu Farm driven by its own strategies of maintaining the Client Relationship and Technical Assistance round the clock
Dr.Sateesh Tammera advocates a customer-centric approach that has filtered down to every decision and action in SAF. His signature style is much evident in the management and Technical processes at SAF: an open culture, participative management practices, innovation, continuous improvement, speedy response, empowerment of individuals and enjoyment of one’s job all set for a successful Emu Industry.

Having a Doctorate Degree in Life Sciences, He started his career as a Technical manager in one of the leading concerns in Aquaculture for more than 10 years and also provided consultancy in Aquaculture for more than 3 years in Bangladesh. His personal interest towards Life Sciences lead him to the promotion of Emu farm which is a really challenging and up growing industry in India. He provided dedicated service to the Emu farmers of India, processed tremendous vision and knowledge and primarily responsible for the success of SAF with in a small period.
Being self-employed in the Ratite Industry for more than 10 years now, he had had the unique opportunity to work with these birds 7 days a week with utmost dedication. He works with somebody's birds every day either in person, over the phone, or over the Internet. This has allowed him a unique position of experience with almost any situation relating to Ratites. Ratites is ALL HE DOES these days and he thoroughly enjoys as they are the most unique and interesting animal to work with once one understands them .
He consulted on severe bird problem cases for farmers concerning feed toxicity, mismanagement, and bird-stress problems from environmental disturbances, unique emu sensitivity problems, and behavioral response factors unique to emu.
Was involved in doing numerous Problem-Identification projects in Emu since 2001, including feeding trials for correct diet, egg fertility, mating behavior, metabolic disorders, toxicity identifications, general behavioral characteristics of emu and breeding characteristics projects. This research has led to a new level of understanding in the Emus, and identifying causes of "stress" in Emu and how they react to different environmental factors.

This has boosted him to increase his confidence in providing Technical Expertise for installation, supervision and augmenting production levels of Emu farms. Our service organization provides experienced technical and managerial persons to deal with each and every aspect of the Emu farms and Hatcheries.

The team of highly experienced, dedicated and skilled Technical members monitors the process round the clock to produce the high quality Emu chicks. The highly successful methods and the consequent results of mating, hatching, nursing and growing the chick to the required stage are due to the eagle-eyed supervision of our team members.
The Emu feed which is totally an imported formula is perfectly suitable to grow the Emu from the chick stage to the breeder stage. These chicks at early stage are transferred from the brooding house to the specially designed out door nursery in order to acclimatize them to exposed conditions, thus resulting in excellent breeders.
SAF had grown significantly in no time and expanded its services in the form of SAF EMU CONSULTANCY, which has dedicated, highly knowledgeable people now available to work in any state in India to provide Emu consultancy covering the complete strategies of Emu farming and hatcheries,Marketing Emu Eggs and Chicks.
